mindcast design was the conception of Michael J. Nakowicz. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island's Multimedia Certification Program [Web, Graphic, and Print Media]. Michael has stayed up to date with current technology by frequenting conferences and seminars, researching and gaining hands-on experience.
He has a love of all things having to do with computers and computer technology. Nakowicz has been on a PC since he was six [circa 1984], on a green-screened, C-prompt, MS-DOS station his father used at home for work. He then elevated through all the incarnations of MicroSoft Windows. A few years back Mike got into Mac OS X, and fell in love... he was changed, forever [FOOOOOREEEEEVVVVVEEEERRRR - Sandlot]. Nakowicz has also single handily networked his father's office [Nakowicz Financial Service, Inc. in Warwick, RI -- cheap plug] without any prior networking education.
Michael also found a love for the arts in the mid 80's, spending afternoons sketching architectural designs - his mother envied, creating sculptures, drawings, paintings, etc. Basically, the act of creation has been his very lifeblood. Michael became intrigued by the idea of computer graphics in the early 90's, in the dawn of the Internet. The Web and the abundance of new technologies that shifted our world in this era increased his excitement. Michael thought, as a junior high school student, 'I want to do that! I want to create things with a computer!' So here we are. More then ten years down the road and Nakowicz is bringing that dream to fruition.
